    This movie is for the RIP VI on-screen peril. It's about a wealthy young woman and her husband (Katherine Ross, James Caan) who take into their home a cosmetics saleslady (Simone Signoret) who claims to know an old school friend of the young woman, becomes ill while showing the cosmetics, is invited to stay, and eventually recovers and joins in the kinky mind games the couple like to play among themselves and others which eventually lead to tragic circumstances. Delightfully twisty ending. This 1967 film is hard to find but I located a DVD (had a VHS but player ate it) on www.ioffer.com for $7.97. Amazon has the VHS but it is $89.00!!

    Book review number two is up now. This time it's Shaun Hutson's debut novel Slugs. Took longer than usual to read as I've been busy moving and going back to uni.

    I've got some compulsory reading which could be called horror/gothic though so reviews will continue to appear.

    Book review number three is now up. This time it's James Patterson's Bloody Valentine, part of the Quick Reads collection. Not reading as fast as I expected but uni and house searching are to blame for that.

    Doh! I forgot to add the title of the book I read for the challenge. It's called House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. This is a great challenge and this book was a perfect choice for it!

    I'm sorry to say that I did not like Drood, but I have a few other books that I'm reading, which are (so far) proving to be much better - especially The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.

    I only just now posted my first book review (but I have 3 more coming!).

    Thank you so much for hosting this challenge, Carl. Because of this I finally read In the Woods by Tana French which I loved. I cannot believe I waited so long to read it. Now, less than a week before this challenge ends, I have a long list of RIP Peril qualifying books I want to read! lol

    thanks, Carl. I had a great time with this year's challenge. Reading Dracula was a great experience, as was discovering the Spanish-language version of the 1930s classic (filmed at the same time...who knew?).

    I'm already looking forward to next year!
